It might be overshadowed by its flashier neighbour Dubai, but Muscat, in Oman is putting up a fight to attract more tourists. It’s spending billions expanding its airports, building new hotels and creating the country’s first grass golf courses. But as the global slowdown takes hold could those plans now get stuck in the rough? From Muscat, Ben Thompson sent this report.
