Golf Training
Moe Norman was probably the greatest person EVER at striking golf balls. He hit over 6 million balls in his life (likely a world record), and was hailed throughout the golf world for having the game’s most accurate swing. at the end of the day, if he was the greatest ball striker of all time, why HASN’T everyone heard of him, and why isnt everyone trying to copy him and his method?
simple, isn’t it?
Turns out I’ve been swinging like this ever since I learned (a year ago)
BTW Look how far in front the ball is at 2:01
@CarolinasPGApro What was that; course records, 59 4 times not hitting it anywhere!!!
and moe wasn’t handicapped; he was severely shy. he lacked confidence when he was young. tour players in the united states chased him back to canada. that’s why he didn’t win majors. there are people out who can run circles around guys on tour but they don’t enjoy the spot light. they can handle the pressure of the game but not people. its amazing how many misconceptions there about moe and his swing.
ignorant people- this is the purest swing in all of golf. its not easy to learn and people who think they have it after a few months are most likely doing it wrong. it has taken me years to get it and it works. who cares what it looks like. arnold palmer didn’t have a perfect swing. its amazing how standing further from the ball and starting the club further behind the ball make it an “ugly” swing. and there is no loss of distance if you do it right. learn before you speak…or type.
why does he line up his club so far away from the ball
thats sacrificing alot of distance… but you cant argue with results… still an ugly looking swing though… that may never change. lol
damn… you must play tiger woods.
You clearly dont know what a one plane swing is !!
And how many majors did Moe win? I teach a number of students who’ve tried the whole “natural golf” thing….it’s great for hitting a ball SRAIGHT…..problem is…you don’t hit it anywhere.
Mo Norman had a great downswing period. He got the club in perfect impact position by properly shifting his weight and rotating his hips.Thats the secret to good golf.If he didn’t do this with his set up he would hit fat every time.
hahaha great comment!!
and non of those guys you mentioned could even hit a ball at 72. Moe was still hitting 270 yard drives and putting balls next to pin. Legend !
HE DIDN’t HAVE A ONE PLANE SWING. Not even close to Ben Hogan’s. He might be one of the most consistent players that ever lived but this is not the way he played, you can clearly identify two planes. His hands may be at the same position at address and at impact but it isn’t a one plane.
Someone needs to tell the narrator that the plural of hole-in-one is holes-in-one, not hole-in-ones.
Everyone’s different though I think. Lots to like no doubt and Moe swung it more than real good. I just think we should be careful drawing conclusions.
Both.
So you shot a 57? Why is it that I don’t know your name?
Why don’t you at least post a link your swing video?
i know the secret you dont , have you ever shot 15 under par on a course 7300 yards long , I have .
If Moe had a swing like yours he hit the ball like you. TRUST ME.
I think hitting 6 million balls might have had more to do with his greatness than his planes.
sure. that’s easy to come on you tube and say that. lol.
Mo Norman actually was said to have studied Ben Hogan’s swing while developing his own.I found being so far from the ball make’s you lose all connection with the body and feel.He makes alot more movements if you study some of his other tapes hear at utube. He has a great reliance on proper hip rotation and weight shift.
This is the most efficient way to swing and scientifically proven to provide more power and consistency simply based on the mechanics of planes. It will be a lot of time before the golf world accepts this as humans never like to accept change, but this will be the only acceptable way to swing in 50 years.
its not in the swing its in the brain TRUST ME
