    first off, thats not a question. second i’m assuming that your asking if this is good or not. it is… in theory. maintaining the triangle is always a good thing but also focus on keeping your right elbow in to your side (if your righthanded) left if your left handed. and maintaining an L shape between your forearms and the club shaft. these two things help me alot. hope this helps!

    yes, when you setup with a driver, the ball is forward of your head and you’re looking more at the back of the ball and conversely when you’re setup with a wedge, the ball is under your head or left eye as you put it.

    I have a question in regards to head position during setup.

    I looked through all of your videos and I didn’t find any reference to this.

    My question is this: I move the ball position in my stance forward (Towards the target) as the clubs get longer. In other words, for wedges, the ball is in the center of my stance, mid irons the ball is 1-2 inches forward of center, lastly, with driver, the ball is off my left heal.

    For example, when you are hitting driver, is your head 2 -3 inches behind the ball?

    Mid irons – head 1 -2 inches behind the ball?

    Lastly, wedges — the ball is in line with your left eye?

    Or, do you keep your head in the same position within your stance regardless of the club selection and shot you are trying to make?

Scroll down to the blogroll and click on Tiger’s Woods Golf Swing; it’s a 27 minute breakdown of Tigers Swing with a lot of emphasis on maintaining the triangle. Watch it and see if that helps.

    One last question if you don’t mind?

    This question is in regards to my backswing. I have found that if I keep my tricep muscles in my arms touching my chest (Forming a triangle or one piece take-away) during my backswing, my arms and midsection feel more connected and I get substantially more distance out of my shots.

    However, the down fall has been that I have had more difficulty hitting the ball consistently (My shots are Fat, thin and/or slicing). Should I go back to a more armsy swing for more accuracy and sacrifice the extra distance?

    to simplify, group fairway woods, long and mid irons down to a 6 iron in one category 2inches or so left of the center of your stance and 7 through wedges in the center of your stance.

    In other words, initially for driver, the ball is aligned to the left side of your left foot. Then you open your stance.

    For Fairway wood and 3 iron the ball is initially aligned to your little toe?

    Mid irons to your big toe?

    Short irons and wedges to the middle of your stance?

    the only thing that changes is the ball position and corresponding clubhead position. everything else remains the same.

    A question for you regarding your setup with different club selections and ball positions during your pre-shot routine.

    During your setup for the driver, your feet are together and the ball is initially in line with the left side of your left foot. The club shaft runs strait up the left side of your left leg and then you grip the club with your left-hand with a neutral grip (Line created by the thumb and index finger pointing towards your right ear). You eventually widen your stance so that the ball is just off your left heel and your hands are holding the club just left of the zipper on your pants.

    What’s poor about it? Please specify. I’m using a neutral control grip where the lines of my fingers point at the right side of my face as opposed to the strong grip I used previouly where the lines pointed at my shoulder. There isn’t one grip for everybody. You may have a weak grip or a strong grip depending on your body and arm movement, and your strength verses flexibility. You probably didn’t know that Tiger Woods went to a slightly weaker grip also.

    So Julian, how long have you been golfing? What’s your handicap? I use a neutral control grip. What grip do you use or do you even know? Hitting a driver, your feet should only be wide enough to fit either the width of your shoulders or your hips depending on your preference. I go the width of my shoulders which is exactly what’s in the video.

    with a light grip you fell the tip of your club… when u grip you try to hit the ball. what you do is swing not hit. (swing is you kepp the same pattern when you hit your ball hit 2 imagenairy balls right after you hit the real ball.) Then your ball will have a nice and comfortable flight. REMEMBER DON’T GRIP HARD… SLIGHT GRIP IS ALL YOU NEED!

    thanks, i need a pre shot routine. b/c i have a problem with my alinment. ive shot in the sixties one time but i know and so does everyone else that i can do it consistantly. so i think this will help me unlock my potential.
