Golf course architect Tom Doak explains the design of the spectacular 7th hole on the new Old macdonald golf links at Bandon Dunes to journalist John Dunn. 10 holes are already open for play on this ocean front layout which is a tribute to Charles Blair macdonald.

I’ve played the other three courses with my son and can’t wait for a return trip to play the newest of the best!
Got to play the preview in April, made a birdie on this hole after my brother and I hit it to 10 feet right next to each other. Luckily he was away so I got a good read and made mine
Played the other 3 in ’07. I’m sure Old MacDonald will be spectacular. Bandon Dunes isn’t easy to get to, but incredibly worht it. A phenomenal golf trip.
