because the grass is sometimes denser than it looks and might slow your ball down to much or you might hit the ball to hard trying to get it through the higher grass.

try a simple 7 or 5 iron, or even a hybrid and almost put it into the hole
Why not use your putter for this type of shot….I find it works better than a wedge.
